Social media reacts to Jordan Spieth’s journey on 18 at Valero Texas Open 2024 which included a ball in the clubhouse gutter

During the third round of the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio, Texas legend Jordan Spieth had quite the journey down the par-5 18th.

It started with a terrible tee shot that ended up underneath a tree. Spieth, of course, attempted the hero shot, and his ball finished near a drain. Then, his third shot ended up in the clubhouse’s gutter. Yes, you read that correctly. His ball finished in a gutter.

Spieth would go on to make a double bogey, dropping him to even par on the day and 3 under for the tournament.

As you’d expect, social media had a field day with the footage of Spieth’s journey, and we’ve compiled some of the best reactions. Check them out below.
