The PGA Tour is back in Ponta Vedra Beach for the 2024 Players Championship.
TPC Sawgrass’ famed Stadium Course hosts the biggest event on the Tour schedule, and there’s a lot on the line this week.
First, a $25 million purse. The winner will receive $4.5 million of that along with 750 FedEx Cup points. It’s also the 50th edition of the Players, meaning the importance surrounding this week is heightened.
The Stadium Course ranks No. 1 in Florida on Golfweek’s Best list of public-access layouts in each state. It also ranks No. 23 on Golfweek’s Best list of modern courses in the U.S., and it ranks No. 10 among all resort courses in the U.S.
Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion, and he comes in off his victory last week at Arnie’s place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
